Argentina Police Raids Hangar to Investigate Flights to AFA Treasurer's Mansion

The Airport Security Police raided a hangar at San Fernando Airport to obtain passenger records of 60 helicopter flights to the Pilar mansion, which is attributed to the treasurer of the Argentine Football Association, Pablo Toviggino. The procedure, ordered by federal judge of Campana, Adrián González Charvay, aims to reconstruct the flight path of the aircraft belonging to the company Flyzar, after pilots stated they did not remember who was being transported to the 'Neurus' heliport. 'I was never told who I was taking or who I was bringing. I always transported passengers,' one of the pilots stated before the Justice. The company would notify me of the flight for a specific day and time, and that was all. In the context of this money laundering investigation, it was detected that Pantano used a corporate AFA card with monthly expenses of 50 million pesos, which also covered the tolls for vehicles with blue license plates in the name of relatives of the treasurer of the Argentine football governing body. According to what the Argentine News Agency learned, the investigation, now led by González Charvay after passing through Judge Marcelo Aguinsky's court, has focused on the documentation that the company Flyzar must deliver next Monday, as passenger records at private heliports are the responsibility of those in charge of these facilities.
